Portsmouth Historic Dockyard joins with the Royal Navy to showcase its past, present and future.  Visitors will have the opportunity to board modern ships, meet the crews and see the Royal Navy up close.

Bringing the history of the Royal Navy alive, there will be red-coated, 1830s Royal Marines, D-Day and Falklands War forces and sailors from the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Meet them alongside the dockyard's world famous historic ships, HMS Victory, Mary Rose and HMS Warrior 1860. Explore the Royal Navy further at the Royal Naval Museum and Action Stations. Add the Historic Dockyard’s magnificent building and docks and visitors have all the ingredients for a great day out.

Dynamic air, land and sea rescue displays and performances of military display teams, Field Gun Crew and a Royal Marines Band will entertain the visitors throughout the weekend.

Visitors of all ages can explore and meet the crews of a Royal Navy aircraft carrier, a submarine-hunting frigate, destroyers, a minehunter, high-speed patrol craft, assault landing craft, fishery protection patrol craft and warships of visiting foreign navies from around the world.

The future of the Royal Navy will be represented with images and information of the new, big Daring-class destroyers and the new aircraft carriers, the biggest warships Britain has ever possessed.
